This year of the Rabbit has 384 days! Or what is known as the “Double Spring Year”. Approximately every three years, a leap month (13th month) is added to the lunar calendar to remain in sync with the solar calendar, resulting in two springs in a lunar year cycle when that happens. It starts on 22 Jan 2023 and ends 9 Feb 2024, involving two “Beginnings of Spring”.

What to expect?

According to Chinese tradition, “double spring” lunar years are considered a good time to do major decisions like getting married, and people who married in double spring years are likely to enjoy good relationships with partners and a good chance of having babies.

种生基 Prosperity Pre-need Tomb

生基，from the word “生命的根基“ which literally means the foundation of life whereby people erect their tomb in advance while they are still alive. This concept is not new as thousands of years ago in China, once the emperors came into power, one of the first thing they will do is to get masters to look for a fengshui plot to build their tombs. It was believed that by doing this, it will enhance his reign of an emperor to his empire.
